Reservations:
Please e-mail or call us for availability and rates and provide us with the following information:
- Desired arrival & departure dates
- Number of people and number of accommodations required
We require a minimum stay of 2 nights, since we think you will need this time to fully enjoy our place & surroundings!
We offer 5 individual accommodations with private bathrooms. Depending on the size of your group you can also decide to rent to whole lodge (max. 12-13 people). For bigger groups (14-18 persons) we can add the Oleada Beach house (see Oleada Beach House/Real Estate section).
We check our e-mail at least every other day and answer all e-mails within 2 days. In case you haven’t heard from us within 3 days, than for some reason we’ve probably not received your e-mail. Please send it again or call us.
Due to the set up of the lodge we unfortunately can’t accept young children (16 or younger), unless you rent out the whole lodge with your group or family.
We do accept young children in the Oleada Beach house (see Oleada Beach House/Real Estate section).
Reservation Policy :
The quiet and intimate atmosphere of the Buena Vista Surf Club is insured by our deliberate decision to remain small. This feature, however, makes scheduling and booking a critical process upon which hinges the ultimate success of this format. When making a reservation for the lodge/room through the internet you are making a commitment to occupy the lodge/room for the reserved dates, just as we are making a commitment to have the lodge/room available for you.
No-shows, late arrivals and schedule changes can have a catastrophic impact on a lodge of just a few rooms. We ask, therefore, that you agree with the terms and conditions of our reservation policy.
- Deposits are pre-payments
- Late arrivals are usually responsible for a room left empty for a night.
- Early departures are usually responsible for the vacant room portion of the reserved stay.
- Deposits are non-refundable and we do not give refunds in case of changed travel plans (late arrival or early departure).
By sending us your deposit, you confirm that you have read and agreed to the reservation policy of the Buena Vista Surf Club
Payments:
Unfortunately we’re not able to accept credit cards at the lodge, but you can use your credit card for payments of your deposit (see below how that works).
To confirm a reservation we require a 50% non-refundable deposit upon booking. You can do this through:

- Western Union(www.westernunion.com)
If we haven’t received your deposit within a week, than we have the right to cancel your reservation. Should you encounter any difficulties making the deposit, than please contact us.

Please make sure you spell the name right!
The remaining amount (50%) needs to be paid upon arrival (There is an ATM in San Juan Del Sur). All other expenses (drinks, board rentals, etc) can be paid at the end of your stay. Please note that we only accept cash payments in USD or Cordobas. Please make sure your Dollar bills are in good condition, since otherwise nobody in Nicaragua (incl. us) will accept them.
