About the Buena Vista Surf Club
The Buena Vista Surf Club is a small design eco lodge and is designed, built and managed by Marielle & Marc, a Dutch couple from Amsterdam. Together with their staff they’ll make sure that you’ll have an unforgettable stay in Nicaragua!

The whole lodge has been built in harmony with nature and everything has been done to preserve the environment and the diverse wildlife (howler monkeys, birds, etc). It has been designed to adapt to and take advantage of its environment. It is completely self supporting; there is fresh water from the own well and a small solar system provides the needed electricity at night.

The secluded lodge is located behind the beach, in the ‘jungle’ (tropical dry forest), and overlooks the surf break Playa Maderas (short walk to the beach). The lodge is only 8 kms north of San Juan del Sur and there are daily beach shuttles from San Juan Del Sur to Playa Maderas. Our home break is one of the most consistent surf breaks in Nicaragua and offers great possibilities for all levels of surfing. Lessons & board rentals are available.

Hungry? Marielle is a great chef and prepares all kinds of international dishes. To start the day we serve a great tropical breakfast with fresh fruits, local coffee, pancakes, eggs, etc. For dinner there is always a home cooked gourmet dinner with fresh ingredients (home or locally grown)! The meals are family style, which is great to meet the other guests and share stories and experiences. Breakfast & dinner are included in the nightly rate. We don’t serve lunch, but this is available at several places at the beach. Thirsty? At our bar we have cold beers, rum, etc.

The Buena Vista Surf Club offers 5 private accommodations, but can also be rented by groups. Please ask for rates & availability.
